Delete Your Storied Account

Delete from the mobile app

1. Open the Storied app and sign in.
2. Tap the Profile tab.
3. Tap Settings.
4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
5. Confirm when prompted.

Delete on the web

1. Sign in at storied-app.com.
2. Go to your Profile page.
3. Click Delete account at the bottom of the page.
4. Confirm when prompted.

Request deletion by email

If you can't access the app or web, email us from the address tied to your Storied account and we'll delete it for you within 7 days.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Your profile (display name, avatar, pronouns, preferences)
• All books on your shelves and their status
• All reading sessions and stats
• All notes and quotes
• All ratings and reviews
• All custom shelves

Retention period

After you confirm deletion, your account enters a 30-day grace period. During this window you can sign back in to restore your account and all your data. After 30 days, your account and all associated data are permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers.

There is no additional retention period beyond those 30 days. No reading data, session history, or personal information is kept after permanent deletion.

Delete only some of your data

You can delete individual items without deleting your account:

• Remove a book from your shelves on its detail page.
• Delete a reading session from the session history list.
• Delete a note or quote from its detail page.
• Delete a review from your reviews list.

Individually deleted items move to your Trash and are permanently removed after 30 days, or sooner if you empty the trash manually.
