Common questions
I can't sign in.
Make sure you're using the same email you signed up with. On the sign-in screen, “Forgot password” will email you a reset link. If the link doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check spam or email me.
My reading session timer froze.
The timer keeps ticking even when the app is in the background, but if you force-quit the Storied app it can't advance the clock. Reopen the app and the timer should resume from the correct elapsed time. If it doesn't, you can also tap Cancel session to discard or Stop & save to log what you have.
Can I edit a session after I saved it?
Yes — open the book's detail page, tap the session row in the sessions list, and use the Edit option to change the start page, end page, or duration.
How do I change my reading goals?
Profile tab → Goals. You can set or clear annual books, annual pages, daily reading minutes, and daily listening minutes independently.
How do I delete my account?
Email tim.woods1@gmail.com from the address tied to your account. I'll permanently delete the account and all data linked to it. A one-tap in-app delete is on the roadmap.
Will my reading data sync across devices?
Yes. Sign in with the same account on phone and web, and your shelves, sessions, notes, and stats are all there.
A book I want to add isn't in the search results.
Storied uses OpenLibrary for book metadata. If a book's missing from there you can try the ISBN scanner (back-cover barcode) — sometimes that hits a record the title search doesn't. If neither works, email me and I'll see if we can add it.
